November 2015 Event - C.S. Lewis

Thursday, Nov 19, 2015

On Thursday, November 19th, David J. Theroux, Founder and President of the C.S. Lewis Society of California will be joining us. Fifty years after his passing, what makes C.S. Lewis as influential as ever?

One of the bestselling authors of all time, the appeal of Lewis's writings continues to expand, including being popularized on stage, TV, radio, and the movies.Readers of his vast array of books find themselves reflecting upon an elusive quality in how he combined reason and imagination.

This is the Lewis who created Narnia, Malacandra, and Glome; defended the credibility of the New Testament; articulated the essence of Mere Christianity; took us on tours of Heaven and Hell; critiqued the dehumanization of modern life; and wrote learned treatises in literature and mankind's unswerving quest for perfect love and joy.

Please plan to join us for this discussion; there is no charge to attend, but we do require an R.S.V.P. to ensure enough seating for all.
