Originally published in 1893, this work was reprinted by the OUP fifteen times up through 1966, the year of this volume. A highly influential work, Bradley argues that what we see is not true reality, expanding on that idea with chapters such as "Primary and Secondary Qualities", "Relation and Quality", "Space and Time", "Causation", "Things", "The Meaning of Self", and many more.

___CONDITION: Volume very good, the boards clean, straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and the sole prior owner marking we see a name written in ink with the date of 1968 at the top of the front free endpaper; some light sunning to the top edges of the boards, a very short tear at the tail of the spine, a few very light spots throughout. The jacket also very good, the spine and margins of the panels sunned, light overall edgewear, and a chip out of the top edge of the back panel (approx. 1 1/2" wide by 1/4" high).
