Florentino Ameghino (1854-1911) was an Argentine naturalist and anthropologist, who made important fossil discoveries on Patagonia; a lovely etching of Sr. Ameghino serves as the frontispiece, initialled by the artist. Offered as issued in unbound signatures in original wraps, with original glassine wrapper.
___DESCRIPTION: Gray paper covered wrappers with glassine jacket, printed in gray and black, frontis portrait (etching), Ingres Ecoles paper, Garamond Frances type, quarto size (9.75" by 6.5"), [28] pp., limited edition, number 35 of 50 copies on Ingres Ecoles, of a total edition of 60.
