Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) is considered by many to be one of, if not the, greatest composer in the history of Western music. Dying at a tragically young age, his general story is known to many either from his music or the wildly successful 1984 film "Amadeus" which is considered one of the greatest films of all time.

The text of this biography originally published in Germany more than eighty years ago is considered to be the definitive study of Mozart's life; this the first publication in English. In addition, annotations are included to include "developments in Mozart scholarship since the last German edition" (n.b., from dust jacket flap).

The dust jacket near fine, unclipped (although without a printed price), clean other than light overall dustiness, without noticeable wear.
