The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, established in 1934, is dedicated to promoting the wines and regional cuisine of Burgundy; this volume was written by E. de Moucheron, who as "Grand Officier" was a high-level member of the society, and is a history of the wines of the region ("Chronique des Vins de Bourgogne").

In addition to the Chronique there are several shorter chapters towards the end, including: "La Cote", "Production et Appellations d'Origine", "Élaboration et Distribution le Négociant-Éleveur", and "Traditions Bachiques". The volume is embellished with eight full-page colour illustrations by Francois Choppin de Janvry and is contained within a lovely custom binding.
