___DESCRIPTION: Two volumes each bound in full navy blue cloth, gilt lettering on the spine, Volume I replete with black-and-white illustrations (both in-text and full-page) showing examples of the engraved and etched writings; octavo size (8.75" by 5 5/8"), pagination: Volume I, [i-vi] vii-lvi, [1-2] 3-745, [2 pp. publisher's ads]; Volume II, [i-iv] v-ix, [746-748] 749-1820, [5 pp. of maps] [2 pp. publisher's ads]. Glossy dust jackets of navy blue with white lettering, a small illustration of Blake on the front panels, summary of the work on the front flaps.

___CONDITION: Volumes fine; the cloth clean and without blemish, the corners straight and unrubbed, the binding tight with solid hinges, the interior clean and bright, and free of prior owner markings; the dust jackets could be called fine,both are unclipped (although without a printed price), clean with absolutely no sunning, with perhaps a hint or two of edgewear.
