Posy Simmonds (b. 1945), acclaimed British children's author and graphic novelist, presents a tender and lively story of the cat Fred, who, after his death, is mourned and celebrated by all the neighbourhood cats, and his owners, two children named Sophie and Nick, learn about the secret life of their beloved pet. The story is told graphically, in comic form, with Simmond's colourful illustrations filling every page, an engaging tale of the joy in the life of cats.
