Wonderful memories of Albert Camus (1913-1960), the Nobel Prize-winning French philosopher and author, by the men with whom he worked when printing his books: typographers, proof-readers, linotype operators, and editors.

Designed by the inimitable Jack Werner Stauffacher of the Greenwood Press, the book was selected for the Western Books exhibition for the Rounce & Coffin Club.

___DESCRIPTION: Bound in white wrappers, the front with reproductions of a black-and-white photograph and a portion of MSS text, additional reproductions of mostly black-and-white photographs throughout; handset Hunt Roman and monotype Bembo types, small quarto size (9 7/8" by 6 1/2"), pagination: [1-6] 7-68. In the publisher's clear plastic dust jacket, encased in a white cardboard slipcase.

___CONDITION: Volume fine, with clean wraps, straight corners, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; old price and limitation statement in pencil at the top of the front free endpaper (likely) by a prior bookseller, else fine. The plastic dust jacket near fine, without wear or tears but with light overall dustiness and a few stray marks; the card slipcase near fine, sturdy and without any splits to the seams or noticeable wear; one side with a few light stains and some sunning.
