Peter Koch is considered by many to be "one of the most accomplished printers and typographic designers of his generation" (from web site of Stanford University) for forty years; Stanford University hosted a retrospective of his work during 2017, to coincide with the release of the three-volume bibliography of his work.
This work a truly delightful and varied collection of specimens, meant to represent the end of job printing in the state of California. Designed and printed by Hannah Berman, Karen Eng, Max Koch, Marina Luz, Chadwick Bidwell & Bria Moran under the direction of Peter Rutledge Koch.
___DESCRIPTION: Original half brown linen, green paper label printed in black on backstrip, letterpress printed gray paper covered boards printed in four colours, title-page printed in black and orange, numerous wood engravings throughout, numerous typefaces and decorations throughout; quarto size (10.25" by 5"),  unnumbered pp., limited first edition of 100 copies, unnumbered; with original cardstock prospectus slipped in, printed in rust and black using a variety of types, measuring 9.25" by 4".
___CONDITION: A fine copy, with clean boards, straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; prospectus fine, clean and without wear.
