Aeschylus (c. 525/524 - c. 456/455 BCE) is often described as the father of tragedy; according to Aristotle, he expanded the number of characters in theatre allowing conflict among them. Only seven of his estimated seventy to ninety plays have survived, and there is a longstanding debate regarding his authorship of "Prometheus Bound", which some believe his son Euphorion actually wrote (per Wiki).
Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) is still remembered today not only for his own publications, for also for those of his wife, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, the author of "Frankenstein".
