Cecelia Holland (b. 1943) has written, to date, over twenty historical novels which span both the globe and time. In addition, she has authored a multitude of other fictional series, as well as short stories, children's books, and non-fiction. She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1981-1982.
This work, "Floating Worlds", was her sole piece of science fiction and was published to critical acclaim.

Dust jacket with the original price of $10.95, wrap-around illustration in black and white, summary of book on front flap, author photo and short bio on back flap.
___CONDITION: Volume fine overall, with clean boards, straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and other than the author's inscription entirely free of prior owner markings; exceedingly minor sunning to the top and bottom edges of paper boards, else fine. The dust jacket is not price-clipped and is near fine, clean and with only a light amount of edgewear, with a very light amount of sunning at top and bottom edges.
