Sir Kazuo Ishiguro (b. 1954) is one of today's best-known and critically acclaimed authors; the recipient of four Man Booker Prize nominations and the winner of that prize in 1989 (for "Remains of the Day"), and the recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017.

This book, "Never Let Me Go", is a story "of love, loss and hidden truths...charged throughout with a sense of the fragility of our lives" (n.b., per dust jacket flap). It was short-listed for the 2005 Booker Prize and won both the 2006 Arthur C. Clarke Award and the 2005 National Book Critics Award; it was also named by "Time" magazine as the best novel of 2005 and listed by them as one of the best 100 English-language novels published between 1923 and 2005.

___CONDITION: Volume fine, with clean boards, perfectly straight corners without rubbing, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; clean, crisp, as new. The dust jacket also fine, not price-clipped, the colours deep and true, utterly without any sunning or wear, as is the belly band. An outstanding, fine volume of this prize-winning novel.
