Champaign, IL: Sports Publishing Inc., 1998. First Edition. Hardcover. Quarto size, 560 pp., signed by Bill Walsh. Fine / Near Fine. Item #19112401

William Ernest "Bill" Walsh (1931-2007) was the legendary head coach of both the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinals. With the 49ers, Bill Walsh put together the amazing record of 102-63-1, winning ten of his fourteen postseason games along with six division titles and three Super Bowls. How did he do it? In this book Bill Walsh provides a look at his philosophy of coaching - and winning. He was able to turn the 49ers from a team "in utter disarray to an organization renowned for its professionalism and tradition of excellence". Whether interested from a sports perspective, a business perspective, or a fan perspective, this book offers a "game plan for success and a guide for studying the game" (n.b., quotes from dust jacket flap).
