This volume presents a cultural and historical view of life on the Stockholm archipelago, the largest archipelago in Sweden, written by artist and book illustrator Roland Svensson (1910-2003); Svensson fills the book with numerous colour illustrations as well as black-and-white lithographs of the scenery of the archipelago to accompany the text.
The custom binding is a beautiful half red leather by Abnordiska Bokhandeln in Stockholm, with the binder's ticket on the verso of the front free endpaper.

Tasteful nautical prior owner bookplate on the half-title page belonging to "Wm. H. Littlewood". Please note that all text is in Swedish.
___CONDITION: A fine copy; the covers clean, the corners straight, the binding tight with solid hinges, the interior clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; the barest hint of rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and corners, else fine.
