German artist Gerhard Richter (b. 1932) produced artwork in a myriad of aesthetics and media throughout his lengthy and successful career; his works have been shown in numerous exhibitions and retrospectives worldwide, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and in the Venice Biennale several times. He works with diverse materials such as paints and glass, creating photorealistic as well as abstract imagery; this volume is a collection of photographs from Richter's regular stay in Sils, with paint overtop, creating a new image and a new way of interpreting landscape.
This volume is unaccountably scarce in the marketplace; we locate a single other online listing as of this writing for this 1992 edition, signed by Gerhard Richter.

___CONDITION: A fine copy; the covers clean, the corners straight and unrubbed, the binding tight with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; crisp, clean, as new. The glassine wrapper is fine also, clean, without wear but for a very small crease to the rear top corner.
