One of 75 copies printed by the Grabhorn Press for Arthur L. Bloomfield for presentation to the Roxburghe Club at their December, 1954 meeting; Mr. Bloomfield served as Master of the Press for the Club from 1959 to 1961. Seemingly scarce in the trade, with none online as of this writing and no auction records; our search of OCLC shows twelve copies held by institutions.
___DESCRIPTION: Two large folio sheets folded once to form four leaves, edges uncut, the page with the sketch of Wilde loosely laid in; of heavy ivory paper, title in black on the front with initial capital in blue, the single page of text also with the intial capital in blue; folio size (13.25" by 10"), unpaginated with 4 pages excluding the wraps, the printer's statement on the recto of the back wrap; limited edition of 75 copies, unnumbered.
___CONDITION: Fine, the wraps clean and free of edgewear, the sewn binding strong, internally clean and bright, entirely free of prior owner markings; other than a modicum of exceedingly light dustiness and a hint of toning to the wraps, as it came from the Grabhorn Press.
