A set of miniature books about booksellers and book collecting, these three charming volumes were designed by Norman W. Fogue "and printed in a very limited edition" at the Norman Press; all were bound by Bela Blau, a Hungarian bookbinder known for his meticulous attention to detail and fine binding of miniature books.

The books are all dedicated "To all the members of the Caxton Club", a bibliophilic society founded in 1895 to promote the history of the book and book arts (n. b., info from Wikipedia).

"Books Interchanged": Quarter red leather with marbled paper boards, vertical gilt rules on the front and rear boards, gilt rules and lettering on the spine, French folds, marbled endpapers, frontispiece an illustration in red and black, title page in red and black; miniature book (2.25" by 1.75"), pagination: [1-8] 9-48 [49] [1 colophon].

"The Elzevir": Quarter green leather with marbled paper boards, vertical gilt rules on the front and rear boards, gilt rules and lettering on the spine, French folds, marbled endpapers, frontispiece an illustration in green and black, title page in green and black; miniature book (2.25" by 1.75"), pagination: [1-8] 9-47 [48] [1 colophon]. Each volume one of "a very limited edition", unnumbered. All housed in a slipcase covered in green and brown marbled paper.

___CONDITION: Volumes are fine, with clean boards, straight corners with no rubbing, strong, square text blocks with solid hinges, the interiors are clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; clean, crisp, as new. The slipcase is near fine, strong and sturdy, clean, with only very light wear to the corners, else fine.
