"Live and Let Die" is the second book in the James Bond series, by English author and journalist Ian Fleming (1908-1964); the book was actually written before Fleming's first James Bond book, "Casino Royale", was published and deals with themes of the Cold War, race relations, and global politics. "Live and Let Die" is one of the many Bond novels met with great acclaim upon its publication, and it was adapted into a feature film in 1973 starring Roger Moore.
