Valenti Angelo (1897-1982) was a well-known and highly regarded twentieth-century illustrator who did so many books for the Grabhorn Press, the early Limited Editions Club books, and many more over a career that spanned decades. This book, the result of ten years of research and work by the publishers, Earl and Gloria Emelson, is a collection of essays, tributes, and remembrances by thirty-two authors arranged mostly by time period, lavishly illustrated with over one hundred samples of Angelo's work and photographs; an important resource for anyone interested in Angelo's work and in twentieth-century book illustration.
