Deluxe edition, number 11 of 25 specially bound and signed by D'Ambrosio; this copy inscribed by the author "To Henry [Snyder]", with prospectus laid in.

Henry Snyder (1929-1916) was a well-known scholar and bibliographer, the former director of the Center for Bibliographical Studies and Research and co-director and leader of the American English Short Title Catalogue team for more than 32 years. A member of the San Francisco Roxburghe Club and the Book Club of California, in 2009 Henry was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. Carol Cunnigham (1925-2013) and her Sunflower Press was best known for significant contributions to modern book arts, a patroness to the arts much like the Muses in the present volume.

Joseph J. D'Ambrosio (1934-2009) was an exceptional book artist who wrote, set type, printed designs, illustrated, and distinctly bound his books. D'Ambrosio exhibited in many one-man and group exhibitions, and his works are in both private and institutional collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Muses reflects all three of the collaborators in both form and content with whimsical illustrations of the Greek Muses, and a sculptural binding with boards shaped like wings.
