The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

New York: Doubleday & Company, 1986. San Souci, Daniel. Hardcover. Quarto size, [32] pp., signed by Robert D. San Souci and Daniel San Souci. Fine / Fine. Item #16113129

The classic gothic story is retold and brought to life by Robert D. San Souci (1946-2014) and Daniel San Souci, two brothers who often collaborated to create children's books; Robert San Souci was the author of numerous books for children, as well as the story of the popular Disney film "Mulan". Daniel San Souci illustrates the book with colourful and detailed scenes of eighteenth-century America, equally capturing the charms of Ichabod Crane and the terror and mystery of the Headless Horseman.
