A bibliographical catalogue of books from the library of J. R. Abbey, the contents of volume one cover World, Europe and Africa, and volume two comprises Asia, Oceania, Antarctica and America. John Roland Abbey (1894-1969) began collecting books in 1929, focusing on the Private Presses; he eventually formed complete collections of Kelmscott, Ashendene and Gwasg Gregynog books. His interests, however, were wide-ranging; this set, which is arranged geographically, focuses on travel books with illustrations done via aquatint and lithography. Reprinted from the first edition of 1956, published privately and publicly by The Curwen Press, London.
