___DESCRIPTION: Dark green cloth boards with gilt lettering on front and spine, motifs of scarabs in turquoise and tan on front and in gilt on spine, plain endpapers, top edge gilt, inscribed by the author to Lord Grenfell on the front free endpaper, title page in red and black, replete with illustrations and black and white photographs, with five hundred examples of scarabs and cylinders, the translations by F. Llewellyn Griffith, 122 pages plus 2 pages of advertisements in the rear.
___CONDITION: Overall very good with some bumping to corners, light scuffing where spine meets the boards, rear hinge starting, interior clean and free of all prior owner markings, are some pencil notations in front and rear from prior booksellers.
